FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining positions of femoral trochanters in standing position. The positions are adjusted when needed by setting adjustment members. The level of anterosuperior and posteroinferior iliac bones is determined. The results are recorded. Deflection and internal rotation of the femurs are determined in dorsal position by bending the lower extremities in the hip joints at right angles and in knees at acute angles deflecting the femurs in the hip joints. The values are recorded and compared for both extremities. Internal rotation is determined by moving the shin bones apart outwards. Pelvis position is diagnosed by interpreting the received readings. Measurements are carried out using device designed as concentrically oriented arc with two ends. Surveyor's level member is diametrically opposed with respect to arc ends. The device has a set of adjusting plates and angular wedge-like members. Arc ends are connectable. Surveyor levels are positioned to the right and to the left of the connection point. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis method. 3 cl, 1 dwg
