METHOD OF PREVENTION OF FORMATION OF ASPHALT-RESINPARAFFIN ACCUMULATIONS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry, particularly, methods of prevention of formation of asphalt-resin-paraffin accumulations in tubing pipes. SUBSTANCE: method includes selection of producing well whose operation is aggravated by formation of asphaltresin- paraffin accumulations on tubing walls resulted in frequent repairs and washing, i.e., with short periods between cleaning operations; determination of produced fluid density and composition of associated gas. On the bases of these data, interval of degassing of low-molecular components of petroleum associated gas is calculated and magnetic devices are lowered into tubing to depth corresponding to lower and upper boundaries of this interval. Needed starting operations are performed and well is put into operation. EFFECT: increased oil recovery by a factor of 1.75 and cleaning period by a factor of 5.8-7, reduced expenditures for purchase and delivery of reagents for well washing and excluded round trip operation of downhole equipment due to efficient application of magnetic fields.
