TECHNOLOGY OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST OF QUALITY OF OBJECT AND GEAR FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed technology of nondestructive test of quality of object includes scanning of surface of tested object, measurement of values of radiation signals of physical field from each point of surface of tested object, selection of threshold magnitude of value of radiation signal and detection of flaws by way of comparison of magnitude of value of measured radiation signal from each point of surface of tested object with threshold magnitude of value of radiation signal. Entire range of values of radiation signals is divided by their magnitudes into K intervals, measured signals are recorded by their belonging to corresponding intervals, number of measured signals in each interval is found, difference of numbers of measured signals between subsequent and preceding intervals is calculated over entire range of magnitudes of values of signals. Magnitude from interval for which difference of numbers of measured signals in given and preceding intervals is less than zero and difference of numbers of measured signals in given and subsequent intervals is above zero is chosen in the capacity of threshold magnitude of value of radiation signal of physical field. Gear for nondestructive test of quality of object includes unit measuring value of radiation signal of physical field, threshold unit and recorder connected in series. It is fitted with scanner, K additional threshold units, K-1 units of logic multiplication-AND gates, K/2 units of keys, K-2 units of subtracters, K-1 adders and K-3 units of comparators. Scanner is coupled to unit measuring value of signal whose second output is connected to input of every additional threshold unit, first outputs of additional threshold units are connected by pairs to inputs of units of logic multiplication, second outputs of even additional threshold units are linked to first inputs of units of keys to which second inputs outputs of units of comparators are connected. Outputs of units of keys are connected to second input of main threshold unit and outputs of units of logic multiplication are linked to proper inputs of adders whose outputs are connected by pairs to inputs of units of subtracters which outputs are connected by pairs to inputs of units of comparators.
