FIELD: computation engineering; geographic information systems. SUBSTANCE: method involves smoothing the first synthetic sheet placed on the first smoothing plate by applying hot pressing. The second synthetic sheet is treated in the same way on the second smoothing plate. The plates are joined without separating them from the smoothing plates. They are laminated by means of cold pressing together with various sheets and components combined into a map or maps. The mentioned synthetic sheets are used as external layers. One of smoothing sheets optionally has three-dimensional surface for producing spatial relief imprints. After being subjected to lamination, the laminated sheets are used for cutting out various maps of given sizes. EFFECT: the same plates usable in hot and cold lamination treatment; high quality of maps. 21 cl, 18 dwg
