FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring pulmonary artery hemoglobin oxygen saturation temperature daily during three days beginning from the first day after exposure to harmful factor. The temperature being greater than 38 C and hemoglobin oxygen saturation being below 90% during the first day with no changes being found in clinical and X-ray picture of the lungs, pathological intrapulmonary blood bypass is considered to be the case. Adjusting therapy is carried out. EFFECT: early stage diagnosis; improved treatment of acute respiratory insufficiency. 2 tbl
