FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining ratio of partial oxygen pressure in arterial blood to inhaled oxygen fraction, lung elasticity limit, pressure in lung artery. Rate of changes of the ratio of partial oxygen pressure in arterial blood to inhaled oxygen fraction, rate of lung elasticity limit changes, rate of pressure changes in lung artery are calculated from original mathematical formulas. Treatment effectiveness is evaluated from the calculated values in cases of progressive and regressive development course. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 1 tbl
