FIELD: processes for casting melt to ingot molds of conveyer line. SUBSTANCE: casting machine includes drum having boss and large number of chutes made of thin-sheet metal integrally with boss. Chutes are directed outside from central zone and they are mutually inclined. Each chute has inlet end adjacent to central zone and outlet end remote from boss. Drum type casting machine includes unit for rotating drum mounted on axle, conveyer with row of ingot molds arranged under drum along casting line passing crosswise relative to rotation axis of drum; unit for rotating drum, unit for providing reciprocation motion of conveyer and feeder for supplying melt metal to drum. Unit for rotating drum and unit for providing reciprocation motion of conveyer may operate synchronously. Drum has small thermal mass preventing solidification of melt metal.
