FIELD: machine tool manufacture, namely determination of cohesion force of built-up edge and front surface of tool at quickly removing milling cutter out of cutting zone for forming chip roots. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes body with cone surface in which disc milling cutter is mounted with possibility of rotation. Disc milling cutter includes jointly mounted tapered stops for engaging with elastic members rigidly secured to cover having radial slits and fixed to body of apparatus. In order to provide wide-range regulation of initial pulse at removing milling cutter with change of mechanical properties of material and modes for working it, during opposite and in-passing milling process body is joined with disc milling cutter by means of cone pins mounted with possibility of disengaging out of disc milling cutter by means of spring acting upon movable sleeve at removing latch secured to sleeve from stationary mounted stop. One of cone pins is mounted with possibility of fixation in seat of catch. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg _
