CUTTING TOOL Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: machine tool manufacture, working by cutting.

SUBSTANCE: tool includes body, cutting member mounted in tool body and elastic members designed for engaging with cutting member; screw transmission. Invention provides lowered dynamic action due to damping oscillations and reducing initial pulse at cutting-in and removing cutter during working materials with rigid and non-metallic inclusions. In order to achieve it, tool has two guides mounted in base of body, movable jaws moved by means of said screw transmission along guides and self-braking worm gearing having handle with dial and joined with screw transmission. Cutting member is mounted between elastic members arranged on movable jaws.

EFFECT: lowered dynamic action, reduced initial pulse at cutting-in and removing cutter.
