FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of culturing transplanting vegetable tissue cultures and can be used in medicinal industry. Sterile explants of radical bud of plant Silene vulgaris (Moench) Garcke are placed in agarized modified nutrient medium of the following composition: macrosalts and trace element salts by Murasige-Skoog, vitamins, mg/l: folic acid, 0.5; riboflavin, 0.5; biotin, 1.0; calcium pantothenate, 1.0; pyridoxine, 1.0; thiamine chloride, 1.0; nicotineamide, 2.0; cobalamine, 0.0015; kinetin, 1.5 mg/l or 6-benzoylaminopurine, 0.5 mg/l; 2,4-D, 1.5-2.0 mg/l; sucrose, 1.5%; glucose, 1.5%; agar 8000 mg/l and water, up to 1 l, followed by incubation at 26 ± 1 C under conditions of continuous darkness. Calluso- genesis is induced for 6 days with high efficiency of callus formation by explants and low-freguency of morphogenesis. Use of medium provides friability and hydration of primary callus. EFFECT: enhanced quality indices of callus. 1 tbl
