FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: piston has body accommodating insert mated for sliding with inner surface of piston body and carrying piston pin fitted in bearings made in insert. Pin is rigidly coupled with connecting rod. Piston is furnished with energy accumulating element made in form of permanent magnets one of which is arranged and secured on piston crown, and the other, on end face of insert. Like poles of magnets are pointed to each other. Magnets are held is strained state by means of thrusting by projections made on lower cut of insert under piston pin bearing against steps made on inner side of piston body. Projections and steps are made wedge-shaped, meeting outline of each other. EFFECT: improved reliability of energy accumulating pistons of internal combustion engine. 1 dwg
