FIELD: medicine, particularly, radiological diagnoses. SUBSTANCE: method includes computer tomography of lungs with calculation of lung weight. Computer tomography is conducted against background of natural aspiration at FiO2 0,21 or controlled ventilation at FiO2 0,21 with a step of 10 mm. Subjects to determination are average optical density of entire pulmonic tissue of all scans, average optical density of lung parts with changed and unchanged pulmonic tissues of all scans of lung with subsequent calculation of lung volume and volume of lung parts with changed and unchanged pulmonic tissues. Weight of entire lung and weight of lung parts with high hydration are calculated by formula M = Vxp, where V is volume of entire lung and lung parts with high hydration; p = pav(op)× pk, where p is pulmonary tissue density; pav(op) is average optical density of lung of all scans; pk is coefficient of conversion of optical density unit into unit of physical density (0.000992004 g/sq.cm). Evaluation of infiltrative changes in pulmonic tissue is effected by increase of weight of entire lung and weight of lung parts with high hydration with diagnosis of expansion of pathologic process and degree of its manifestation.
