FIELD: railway transport; brake rigging. SUBSTANCE: brake rigging of freight car has vertical levers hinge-coupled with braces of brake beams. Two fixed holders with brake shoes are installed on each brake beam. Lower part of each vertical lever is hinge-connected with tie-bar of vertical levers. Upper part of one vertical lever is hinge-connected with shackle one end of which is hinge-connected with bracket secured on over-spring beam of freight car two-axle bogie. Fixed holders with brake shoes installed on brake beams are suspended from side frames of freight car two-axle bogie by means of hangers which are hinge-coupled with brackets secured on side frames of freight car two-axle bogie. At least one bracket is secured on each brake beam. Bracket is hinge-connected with one end of additional brake beam supporting member. Other end of additional brake beam supporting member is hinge-connected to bracket. Length of additional brake beam supporting member is within from 30 mm to 990 mm. Invention precludes turning and tilting of brake beams on hangers and provides reliable release of brake shoes from wheel roll surfaces of freight car two-axle bogie.
