FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: walking support has housing 1, walking propulsion unit 2 and power drive 3. Propulsion units 2 are made in the form of articulated four-member units of lambda-shaped type. Each articulated unit has curvilinear support 4 with shoe 5 and is hinge-connected with crank 6 and swinging lever 7 through side reduction gears and propeller shaft drives 11. Forks of intermediate shafts 12 of propeller shaft drives 11 are located in relatively perpendicular planes. To alternate phases of support on soil and transfer, forks of drive shafts 14 of propeller shaft drives 11 of each pair of working propulsion units 2 are installed with shift in phase through quarter of turn of drive shaft 14. As propeller shaft drive 11 provides two sections with accelerated rotation of driven shaft 13 during one cycle, to provide normal operation of working propulsion units 2 with one phase of support on soil and one phases of accelerated transfer per cycle, gear ratio of side reduction gears is chosen to provide two revolutions of crank 6 at one turn of drive shaft 14 of propeller shaft drive 11. Support is installed on housing by means of lever-type suspension 16 with transverse swinging of levers. Suspension is furnished with equalizers 17 one of which is rigidly coupled with torsion shaft 18 installed along bearing beam 8. EFFECT: reduced vertical vibrations of housing at each cycle of movement, reduced power consumption. 5 dwg
