FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed walking support has housing accommodating walking propulsion units made in form of lambda-type four-member mechanisms arranged in vertical plane and containing curvilinear supports with feet, and power drive mechanically connected with walking propulsion units. Vehicle body is made in form of two section frame. Walking propulsion units are installed on each of two sections of frame in pairs, being connected by intersection hinge joint with two degrees of freedom forming adaptation system with possibility of special displacement of two sections of frame. Adaptation system is furnished with torsion shaft installed on rear section and rigidly secured on section by one end, second end of shaft being connected with front section by means of multisection hinge joint. Each walking propulsion unit is provided with independent control for turning of front beam through preset angle at kinematically accurate turning.
EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of walking support its maneuverability and possibility of adaptation to relief of terrain.
