KNAPSACK-TYPE FIRE EXTINGUISHER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2174422 C1

FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: fire extinguisher has vessel for liquid, air balloon, manual piston-type pump, and spraying device made in the form of ejector including gun and branch pipe. Main feeding pipeline and fire extinguisher air channel are cut off by spring-loaded slide valve plunger in its initial position. During operation, pump delivers air into balloon to increase pressure in balloon cavity, which acts upon plunger end. After several rocking motions, plunger is moved to other position for opening feeding pipeline and air channel. As a result, compressed air flow is delivered from balloon cavity into gun to eject liquid from branch pipe. High-dispersity liquid spray beam is formed at gun outlet end. Fire extinguisher of such construction is used for final extinguishing of separate remaining fire zones. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency. 1 dwg
