FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has liquid reservoir 1, high pressure chamber 2 with openings 8 and 9 in its wall, pulse forming device 3 made in the form mounting gun charged with cartridges free of bullets, lines 4 and 5 for supplying and discharge of liquid from high pressure chamber 2 and spray column 6 with nozzle 7. Pressure slide valve 13 is positioned in axial alignment with opening 9 inside high pressure chamber 2 and slide valve 15 in line 5. When high pressure chamber 2 is filled with liquid, slide valve 14 is opened and slide valve 15 is closed. Air replaced by liquid from high pressure chamber 2 is delivered into atmosphere via open slide valve 13 and opening 9. At the moment of shooting, slide valves 13 and 14 are closed under the action of gases delivered through opening 9, and slide valve 15 is opened to provide for communication between high pressure chamber 2 and spray column 6. Liquid is ejected through nozzle 7 onto strip of soil covering to be wetted. When pressure in high pressure chamber 2 drops, slide valves 13, 14 and 15 move to initial position. Apparatus of such construction is used for pulsed supplying of dispersed liquids to create wet soil zones on the path of spreading fire for localizing forest fires.
