AXE-INJECTOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: axe-injector has handle, hollow head, vessel, and blade provided with discharge openings. Spring-loaded piston and additional piston with stem are located inside head cavity. Space between pistons defines dosing chamber connected through inlet and outlet valves with vessel and blade openings. End of additional piston stem projects outside and is connected to adjusting nut. Striking of axe-injector at tree trunk causes spring-loaded piston to move down and, as a result, preparation portion to be delivered from vessel through inlet valve into dosing chamber. Upon moving of spring-loaded piston to initial position, preparation portion is forced out from dosing chamber through discharge valve and blade openings into score in tree trunk. Continuous variation of dosing chamber volume is enabled by rotation of adjusting nut. Axe-injector is used for introducing liquid preparations under tree bark upon destruction of woody vegetation. EFFECT: increased precision of preparation dose controlling by continuous changing of preparation dose chamber volume and convenient use of axe-injector. 1 dwg
