FIELD: forest fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: portable fire extinguisher has reservoir 1 for liquid, piston pump 2 with air balloon 3 and drive arm 4, as well as spraying device 5 and channel system with return valves. Piston 10 is movably mounted on rod 11 and fixed by spring-loaded spherical retainer 12. During operation piston 10 delivers liquid into cavity of balloon 3, and, as a result, compressible air collector is formed in upper part of balloon 3. When liquid spray ejection radius of increased value is needed, operator must continue operation of drive arm 4. Rod 11 is disengaged from piston 10 and the latter is stopped, while rod 11 continues its reciprocal movements to increase pressure in cavity of balloon 3 by pumping in small amounts of liquid. Operator opens closing device of spraying device 5 and liquid is displaced by air collector and is ejected in dispersed state onto burning surface. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased liquid spray reach without enhancing force applied to pump drive arm. 1 dwg
