FIELD: highway and aerodrome engineering. SUBSTANCE: cold sand asphaltic concrete comprises bitumen, sulfur containing 0.5 mm fraction "tailings" which are sifted product of sulfur production stone crushing and petroleum slurry from refinery, ratios of components being as follows, wt parts: bitumen, 6.0-6.5; 0.5 mm fraction sulfur- containing "tailings", 99.0-98.0; and petroleum slurry, 1.0-2.0. Improved characteristics of hydroinsulating properties are attained such as water saturation, swelling, durable water resistance and consolidating of cold sand asphaltic concrete, lower energy consumption and less labour expenditure for preparing and widening range of raw materials used in mineral components.
