SLUDGE CONCRETE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: road building; applicable in construction of bases of motor roads and airdromes. SUBSTANCE: sludge concrete includes oil sludge and mineral binder in the form of cement or lime. Oil sludge contains sludge of oil production which consists of 50-75 wt.% of highly dispersed particles of metal, quartz, hydroxide of iron, aluminum and calcium, carbonates of calcium and magnesium; 20-40 wt. % of crude oil; and water, the balance. Ratio of components in sludge concrete is the following, wt.%: oil production sludge, 86-88; cement or lime, 14-12. EFFECT: production of low-cost high-quality sludge concrete with low power and labor expenditures for its preparation, and extended raw material base of grounds due to utilization of industrial wastes. 2 tbl
