SUBSTANCE: device has clock generator, trigger pulse generator, transmitter, T-R switch and antenna, receiver with automatic gain control system, delay pulse generator, gating pulse generator, two high-frequency amplifiers, two amplitude detectors, two peak detectors, three low-frequency filters, automatic gain control unit, squaring unit, and sea wave height indicating. Mean level of echo signal at high-frequency amplifier input is regulated by compensating disturbing action due to variations in flying vehicle flight parameters and height of sea waves.
