FIELD: quantum electronics; pulsed-periodic lasers. SUBSTANCE: laser has gas-discharge tube placed in cavity connected in parallel with inductance coil; high-voltage rectifier; resonant charging choke; charging diode; storage capacitor; switch; and trigger-pulse generator. Resonant charging choke is connected via its circuit set up of series-connected resonant charging choke, charging diode, and storage capacitor to gas-discharge tube cathode. Switch is electrically connected to storage capacitor. Trigger-pulse generator output is connected to control electrode of switch. First output of high-voltage rectifier is connected to input of resonant charging choke and its second input , to switch cathode and gas-discharge tube anode. Device has, in addition, inductance coil and capacitor. The latter is connected on one end to common point between resonant charging choke and charging diode. Inductance coil is inserted between charging diode and storage capacitor. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability and power capacity of laser. 5 dwg
