FIELD: high-power quantum electronics; development of metal-atom terminated pulse-periodic lasers. SUBSTANCE: generator has charging device, thyratron switch, three storage capacitors, three nonlinear inductance coils, gas-discharge tube with parallel-connected inductance coil, peaking capacitor, common bus of laser system, and anode reactor. Charging device lead is connected to anode reactor lead and to first nonlinear inductance coil lead, its second lead being connected to common point of connection of two series-connected storage capacitors. Second lead of anode reactor is connected to anode of thyratron switch; first storage capacitor lead is connected to common bus of laser system; second storage capacitor lead is connected through second nonlinear inductance coil to lead of third storage capacitor, and the latter is connected through third nonlinear inductance coil to peaking capacitor lead and to electrode of gas-discharge tube connected in parallel with inductance coil. Second electrode of gas-discharge tube is connected through common bus of laser system to second lead of third storage capacitor, thyratron switch cathode, and to second lead of charging device.
