FIELD: electrical engineering; cable termination test engineering. SUBSTANCE: unit designed for force termination of cable leads whose load-carrying braid is made of superhigh-strength highly modular threads working in tension has hollow body with side surface section in the form of truncated cone whose smaller base has axial through hole of diameter corresponding to that of cable lead to be brought in and covered with load-carrying braid of high-strength threads; banding applied to cable and supported by smaller base of body. Threads of load-carrying braid are fanned out and encapsulated at equal tension between binding and large base of body using, for example, epoxy compound for the purpose. Amount of tension is chosen with a view to maintain tensioning force of threads in the course of encapsulation. Smaller base of body may have conical depression on cable entry side coaxial with its entry hole. Depression is filled with rubber-like mass such as sealing compound..
