FIELD: food-processing industry; cooling of milk. SUBSTANCE: device includes heat exchanger with heat-transfer agent and milk passages, refrigeration source in form of thermoelectric unit with heat-exchange passage of cold and hot junctions and natural cold source. Outlet of heat-transfer passage of heat exchanger is connected with inlet of cold accumulator made in form of isothermal reservoir filled with heat-transfer agent having low freezing (melting) point and vessels filled with liquid at higher freezing (melting) point as compared with heat-transfer agent; these vessels are located inside isothermal reservoir. Outlet of cold accumulator is communicated with pump supplying the heat-transfer agent to inlet of heat-exchange passage of thermoelectric unit cold junction and to inlet of heat-transfer passage of heat exchanger in succession. Valve is fitted at cold accumulator outlet. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to use of cold generated by thermoelectric unit together with cold accumulated by ice. 2 cl, 3 dwg
