FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing 1 with fitted in slider 2 which carries punch 3 and knife 4. Die 6 and support 7 are found on base 5. working surface of support is pointed to knife 4. support 7 is installed for adjusting working clearance between its working surface and cutting edge of knife 4. Device is furnished with band tensioner 8. knife 4 is detachable and is furnished with ball lock 9. Different slope chute is made on working surface of support 7. Bottom of chute is opposite to cutting edge of knife. Angle between slopes of chute is 90 -100 deg. Front slope close to die 6 is incline relative to working surface of support 7 through 15-30 deg. Bottom of chute is made in form of mating surface between front and rear slopes over arc of circumference defined by relationship 0,8t<R<1,5t, where T is thickness of metal band used for binding, mm; R is radius of arc of circumference of mating surfaces. Cutting edge of knife 4 is displaced relative to its longitudinal axis to form one-side blade whose front surface is pointed to punch 3. To provide possibility of adjustment of working clearance between cutting edge of knife 4 and working surface of support 7, the latter is furnished with compensating gaskets 12 placed between base 5 and support 7. EFFECT: provision of reliable binding owing to use of additional fixing devices preventing spontaneous release of lock, and repairability owing to facilitated replacement of knife. 3 cl, 3 dwg
