COMPOSITION FOR PERCUTANEOUS ADMINISTRATION OF STEROID MEDICINAL AGENTS AND PREPARATION CONTAINING THEREOF Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to development of composition used for administration of steroid medicinal agents by percutaneous route. Composition has therapeutically effective dose of steroid agent, pharmaceutically acceptable adhesive matrix and absorption promoter. Absorption promoter consists of diethylene glycol ester taken among diethyelene glycol monoethyl ester, diethylene glycol monomethyl ester or their mixture and sorbitan ester as the second component. The second component is taken among sorbitan monolaurate, sorbitan monooleate or their mixture. Mass ratio of diethylene glycol ester and sorbitan ester is in the range from 1:4 to 4:1. Preparation for percutaneous administration of steroid agent involves the protective layer-base that is impermeable for steroid agent, layer-container of medicinal agent containing the composition claimed and cover layer. The latter is attached to opposite site of layer-container of medicinal agent. Cover layer is able to protect the composition of medicinal agent from environment till the time when it will be not removed for contacting layer-container of medicinal agent with skin. Preparation provides to deliver steroid medicinal agent in body of patient at controlled rate for the prolonged time. Use of the preparation prevents decomposition of steroid agent in gastroenteric tract.
