APPARATUS FOR SECONDARY ORIENTATION OF RODS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: automatization of manufacturing processes in machine engineering, for example of rod orientation processes. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing mounted with inclination and having central fixed plug secured to it; receiving trough mounted in upper part of housing; discharging trough and chute, both secured to lower part of housing. Ring mounted on housing has radial grooves, it is joined with housing and with central plug and it may rotate around axis of plug by means of drive unit mounted on housing. Housing includes first window arranged in front of receiving trough, second window arranged in front of discharging trough and port arranged in front of chute. Central plug has radial duct, tunnel and seat arranged between axes of receiving trough and radial duct; inlet of seat is connected with radial groove of ring in upper part of housing and outlet of seat is connected with tunnel. At operation rod part is transported, independently upon its position, in radial groove by means of ring and it is deflected from vertical position due to inclined housing, reoriented to necessary position and is fed to discharging trough or chute when it is correctly oriented. Apparatus allows to reorient rod parts having one spherical end and other chamfered end. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities. 2 dwg
