FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has hollow cylinder with toothed crown which bottom is cross-piece with tubular tail in the center of intersection area on the cylinder axis. Limit slits are made on cylinder generatrix shaped as right triangles. The triangles are turned with their apices towards the toothed crown and have long legs oriented along cylinder axis. Triangular cutters are located on the internal surface along the hypotenuses. The cutters are deflected towards the slits away from cylinder radii and grow with height towards the crosspiece. The cutters vanish when moving in the direction of the toothed crown. Method involves putting-on the tubular tail with its internal opening over the wire introduced along the femur axis. When rotating the mill, the toothed crown forms cylindrical canal in the trochanteric area and in the neck portion opening into articulation cavity. Conical surface is built by applying triangular cutters on the bone areas of the trochanteric and in the neck portion located inside of the cylindrical canal.
