FIELD: manufacture of needles of textile machines such as temple needles, needles of machines of opening-scutching aggregates, needles of drawing, roving and spinning frames. SUBSTANCE: endless wire-anode is fed to bath with electrolyte through two successively arranged cathode-tools in the form of apertured different-thickness plates. Treatment cycle includes two stages. At first stage voltage is applied to second (along treatment direction) cathode-tool for making conicity on end portion of wire. At second stage voltage is applied only to first electrode for electrochemical cutting of formed needle. The last falls through opening of second electrode on trough. Treatment cycle is repeated.
