FIELD: mechanical engineering; electrophysical and electrochemical methods of treatment. SUBSTANCE: treatment of parts "ring" type of complex configuration is performed by four sectional cathodes (А.Б.В.Г.). Two identical cathodes -A and Б are used for correction of internal surface of ring, and two identical cathodes -B and Г, for correction of external surface of ring. Cathodes consist of "n" identical sections-sectors of washers for correction of internal surface of ring and of "m" identical sections-sectors of washers for correction of external surface of ring. Interelectrode space is pumped through with electrolyte continuously. Every section is supplied with its pulse bipolar voltage which differs in amplitude-time parameters of pulses. Current pulse parameters for every section are determined proceeding from distance between operating end surface of every section and part of ring surface being treated and corresponding to this section. Duration of pause between end of opposite-polarity pulse and beginning of process current pulse is equal to time of interelectrode space washing. Sections of cathodes A and Б are made as sectors of washers with central angle of 160 deg, and sections of cathodes B and Г, as sectors of washers with central angle of 175 deg. Correction is performed with immovable electrodes with recording of current flowing through interelectrode space. Correction process is stopped when current reaches threshold value of 0.2 Imax, where Imax is amplitude value of current at correction process beginning.
