FIELD: electrophysical and electrochemical surface treatment processes. SUBSTANCE: method involves electrochemical treatment of loom heald surface using pulse currents in non-stirred electrolyte (aqueous solution of neutral salts) with aid of non-profiled cathode tool including rounding-off of outer and inner edges at the same time forming passive protective film on surface; treatment process time is set to be equal to time taken to attain rounding-off radius within (0.2- 0.25)h, where h is heald thickness; current pulse parameters chosen for the purpose are as follows: anode-current density ia = (0,5-5) A/cm2; pulse length to = (100-1000)•10-6 sek; pulse on-off time ratio q = 2-4. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
