FIELD: rolling, particularly, technology of hot rolling of strips from low-carbon steels, including production of semifinished rolled stock for subsequent cold rolling and short-cycle annealing. SUBSTANCE: hot rolling of strip is carried out with finishing temperature of 870-890 C, engaging cooling sections arranged in row and cooling of moving strips with water to coiling temperature, and coiling into rolls. Coiling temperature of middle part of strips is set equal to 710-750 C, and end sections 5-20 m long are cooled to coiling temperature of 760-800 C. Cooling sections are engaged successively opposite to direction of strip movement, beginning from the last section.
