FIELD: rolling; applicable in production of semifinished rolled stock for cold-rolled automobile sheet steel. SUBSTANCE: after hot rolling of strip with finishing rolling temperature of 870-900 C, it is cooled in horizontal position with water to coiling temperature and coiled into rolls. Strip is coiled into rolls at temperature of 720-750 C and cooling is carried out for 15-25 s by water supply only to lower side of strip. EFFECT: improved quantity of strip due to improvement of uniformity of microstructure in thickness and excluded formation of surface defect of orange peel in article stamping. 1 tbl, 3 ex
