FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cable terminators designed for connecting high-voltage cable lines to overheat power transmission lines by means of standard clamp and also for cable entries in transformers and miscellaneous high-voltage apparatuses has porcelain insulator filled with insulating fluid, cable termination covered with reinforcing insulation in the form of elastomer member put on with negative allowance, hold-down shell, upper and lower shields. Outer diameter of lower part of elastomer member abutting against hold-down shell equals inner diameter of end part of hold-down shell provided outer diameter of shell does not exceed diameter of elastomer member section not held by the shell. Lower end part of elastomer member is chamfered to form conical inner surface with cone angle of 20-30 deg. and height equal to thickness of elastomer member cylindrical part free from hold-down sleeve.
