FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pulmonology, and can be used for diagnosing endogenous inflammation in patients with sarcoidosis. Levels of total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLCS) and triglycerides (TG) are determined. Lipoidosis activity index (LAI) is calculated by formula: LAI=TC/LDLCS+TG in conventional units. If observing no endogenous inflammation, the lipoidosis activity (LAI) is 1.14–1.44 units. At LAI values equal to 1.45–1.8 units or 0.76–1.12 units, moderately expressed endogenous inflammation is diagnosed. At LAI values equal to 1.82–1.98 units or 0.62–0.75 units, the manifested endogenous inflammation is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides higher diagnostic accuracy of endogenous inflammation in patients with sarcoidosis by determining the lipoidosis activity index, which allows detecting the presence of endogenous inflammation and its severity against a background of intoxication syndrome and insufficient antioxidant protection in the patients with sarcoidosis.
