FIELD: metallurgy, namely, continuous casting of metals. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for continuous casting of metal, preferably metallic ingots, includes flexible casting mold, possibly rectangular one with two lateral faces fixed against motion and two bending lateral faces. The last have reinforced portion in their mean zones for achieving rigidity providing practically stable shape of lateral faces in said zones at bending lateral faces. Fixed against motion lateral faces may have reinforced portion passing along the whole length of lateral face and, possibly through adjacent corners. Reinforced portion of bending lateral faces is secured to drawbars of driving mechanism. Said mechanism includes pulling/pushing tie rods joined through connection levers with rotary plates transmitting effort and rotated by means of drive unit.
