FIELD: oil refining; processing of heavy petroleum residues in the course of thermal cracking; production of components of motor fuel, diesel fuel and fractions of heavy gas oil-raw material for catalytic cracking. SUBSTANCE: plant includes petroleum residue and organomineral catalyst mixer, reactor unit consisting of two reaction systems connected in series - heating furnace - reactor, high-pressure evaporator (separator), reaction product atmospheric separator and rectifying column for their separation. Provision is made for intermediate extraction of vapor- and-gas portion of reaction flow of thermal cracking and its separation in separate cooling system and condensation followed by withdrawal of gaseous fraction into fuel line and condensate into rectifying column. During delivery of superheated steam. Light oil products (distillate fractions) are separated from heavy cracking residue containing solid phase.
