METHOD OF EXTRACTION FROM DISPERSED MATERIALS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: chemical, pharmaceutical and food-processing industries; liqueur-and-vodka plants. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is performed in plant having vertical cylindrical housing with separator located inside it coaxially for dividing ascending and descending flows of circulating suspension with percolator, built-in axial-flow pump, loosening unit, surface heat exchanger, remote condenser and condensate receiver. Proposed method consists in loading the starting material and extractive reagent into extractor, cyclically performing alternating solid and liquid phase mixing and separating processes performed by means of pump and percolator till solution of required concentration of extractive reagents has been obtained, unloading the solution, extraction of valuable components of solvent and discharge of waste material. Extractor is filled with solvent to level of percolator; mixing and separating of phases are performed by hydraulic motion of material under and on percolator by reversing the pump output; optimal temperature is maintained in extractor by means of heat exchanger; residue of valuable materials of solvent is extracted by evaporation and condensation of vapors; during evaporation, circulating motion of gas-and-vapor medium is formed with the aid of the same pump; waste material is discharge after mixing it with water.
