SUBSTANCE: method comprises carrying out esterification reaction in the presence of catalyst which is essentially product of reaction of orthoester or condensed titanium or zirconium orthoester and alcohol containing at least two hydroxy groups, 2-oxycarboxylic acid and base. Orthoester has formula: M(OR)₄ wherein M is titanium or zirconium and R is preferably C_1-6 alkyl group. Condensed orthoester has formula: R¹O[M(OR¹)₂O]_nR¹, wherein R¹ is preferably C_1-6 alkyl group, M is titanium or zirconium, and n is preferably less than 20.
