FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of high-temperature composite materials with a ceramic matrix. A high-temperature reaction-bound layered composite based on SiC ceramics, a refractory metal and its silicides, including a SiC/C/Si ceramic matrix and a refractory metal silicide. The volume of the SiC/C/Si ceramic matrix contains at least one layer of refractory metal, and the silicide of the refractory metal is located at the boundary of the refractory metal and the ceramic matrix. A method for producing a high-temperature reaction-bound layered composite based on SiC ceramics, refractory metals and their silicides involves placing a mixture of graphite powders with a binder alternately with layers of refractory metal foil, pressing at a pressure of 200 kg/cm2, polymerizing and coking annealing and impregnation with molten silicon. Also, polyvinyl alcohol can be added to the mixture of graphite powders with an organic binder in a mass ratio of 10:1, the pressing pressure being 100 kg/cm2.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions makes it possible to increase the strength and fracture resistance of ceramic-metal composites and increase the size of the resulting products.
