FIELD: transport engineering; steering gears. SUBSTANCE: proposed steering mechanism has case accommodating toothed rack connected through ball-and-screw train with steering shaft and engaged with toothed sector installed in bearings of eccentric bushings. It has also axial displacement limiters of sector and eccentric bushings on which cavities for threaded pins fitted in threaded holes of case are made. Cavity for threaded pin is made on outer surface of each bushing. These cavities are made in form of two ring grooves forming conical projection with recess to accommodate end of threaded pin. Conical cavity made additionally on end of threaded pin forms ring edge on end surface. EFFECT: simplified design, provision of optimum backlash in gearing. 2 cl, 1 dwg
