FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has conveyor, scutching sections including paired scutching drums equipped with rotation drive. Drums in section are of different length and have two scutching zones: one-sided and two-sided. Alteration range of processing parameters including speed of transportation of raw material is 15 to 30 m/min, linear speed of beating plank edges is from 5.8 to 9.5 m/s, number of actions upon raw material in one-sided scutching zone is from 30 to 300, and in two-sided scutching zone is from 610 to 650, diameter of drums is within the range of 450 to 650 mm and number of beating planks is 5-8.
