SUBSTANCE: invention proposes pharmaceutical compositions containing derivatives of estra-1,3,5(10)-triene as active components which carry in their C3 position the group of the general formula R-SO₂- O- where R means the group R¹R²N where R¹ and R² mean oxygen atom independently each of other, C₁-C₅-alkyl radical or in common with nitrogen atom they mean polymethyleneimino-group containing 4-6 carbon atoms or morpholino-group. Compositions are designated for hormonal contraception and hormone substitution therapy and they elicite low estrogen activity with respect to liver.
