TELESCOPIC SHOCK ABSORBER WITH SEALING UNIT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; automobile suspension shock absorbers. SUBSTANCE: proposed shock absorber with sealing unit has reservoir filled with liquid and mixture of gases. Cylinder of sock absorber is filled with liquid. Rod is installed for displacement in bushing. Shock absorber has cup with frame. Space formed between cup, bushing and rod communicates with reservoir through slots in bushing which has cylindrical and bottom parts. Cylindrical part thrust by end face found at side of bottom part against end face of cylinder. Second end face of bushing thrust directly against cup frame which is made in form of plate. Inner side surface of cylindrical part of bushing is in contact with alignment projection made on frame. Projecting mounting rib with outer diameter corresponding to inner diameter of cylinder is made on bottom part of bushing. Slots on bushing are made on end face of its cylindrical part through which it thrust against cup frame. Bushing can be made of sintered powder material. Check valve in form of collar closing slots of bushing from reservoir side can be made in cup. Antifriction wear-resistant insert can be installed in hole of bottom part.
