FIELD: inorganic chemistry, sorbents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of granulated synthetic zeolite adsorbent of structure A and X no containing binding substance. The natural clay mineral kaolin taken in the amount 10-40% is subjected for calcination at 700-900 C and treated with sulfuric acid. Prepared insoluble precipitate containing silicon dioxide is washed out with water, mixed with kaolin to provide the final ratio = SiO2 : Al2O3 = (2.2-3.1):1 and with addition containing carbon (activated carbon, polyethylene, polypropylene or polystyrene). Then water is added, granules are formed and thermal activation is carried out at 580-700 C. Obtained amorphous granules are cooled and subjected for hydrothermal crystallization in alkaline solution. Method ensures to prepare granules containing a mixture of zeolites A and X.
