FIELD: inorganic chemistry, sorbents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of granulated synthetic faujasite no containing binding substance. Natural clay mineral kaolin used as the parent material and taken in the amount 40-50% of total kaolin mass is subjected for calcination at 700-900 C and treated with sulfuric acid. Prepared insoluble precipitate containing silicon dioxide is washed out with water, mixed with kaolin remained part and carbon-containing addition (activated carbon, polyethylene, polypropylene or polystyrene) and water is added to the prepared mixture to form the homogeneous plastic mass. The latter is formed to make granules, granules are dried, activated at 580-700 C, cooled and subjected for hydrothermal crystallization in alkaline solution. The prepared adsorbent can be used in chemical, petroleum oil, oil and gas extracting industry, heat and power engineering and atomic energetics as ion- exchange material for removal of metal cations and radionuclides from water flows. EFFECT: high adsorption and strength indices of faujasite. 1 tbl, 3 ex
