FIELD: production of zeolites. SUBSTANCE: natural clay material with content of silicon dioxide and aluminium hydroxide at ratio of SiO2:Al2O3= 2:1 which is mixed with silicon dioxide in amount ensuring ratio of SiO2:Al2O3= 3,5:1; then, 2 to 8 mass-% of commercial carbon is added to starting mixture and mixture thus obtained is treated with 3-% solution of sodium chloride till homogeneous mass is obtained, after which granules are formed. Granules are subjected to heat treatment followed by cooling, hydrothermal crystallization in alkaline solution, treatment of granules with o-phthalic acid at pH 4 to 5 and drying at temperature of 180 to 200 C. EFFECT: enhanced sorption capacity and mechanical strength of zeolites. 1 tbl, 6 ex
