Abstract RU 2180355 C2

FIELD: restoration and melting of metal- containing compound. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of charging through mutually spaced charging openings burden including mixture of metal-containing compound and respective finely dispersed reducing agent into heating tank of furnace with bath of melt metal; at charging process forming at least one batch of charge over surface of melt metal bath; charging burden at rate necessary for providing continuous layer of burden formed by means of merged base portions of burden batches and arranged as bridge over surface of melt and slug. In the result inside burden reaction zone and arranged under it melting zone are formed. In reaction zone all metal-containing compound is reduced; in melting zone the whole reduced metal is melt. Process is controlled in such a way that to provide solid continuous layer, mainly during the whole reduction process. EFFECT: possibility for using burden with small fraction size, lowered loss of product. 1 dwg
